CROSSVIEW KIDS

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE

Crossview Kids desires to connect with families and help all children Know, Grow, and Go! We want our kids to Know God, Grow spiritually, and Go missionally being obedient to the call of the Great Commission.

WELCOME TO CROSSVIEW KIDS

Where to Go and When?

“The Boat” is right in the middle of our children’s ministry hallway and where you will find friendly faces ready to help check your child in for class.
Once checked in, Babies through Preschoolers can go directly to their classrooms as early as 15 minutes before the service begins. Kindergarten through 5th graders will sit with their family during our worship time and then be dismissed to class before the sermon begins.

On the first Sunday of each month, we have what we call Family Worship. This is where each student, 4 and up, will sit with their family during the service. This is a special time for kids to worship and study God’s Word with their family.

Our Classes

Our classes use The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. The Gospel Project is a chronological Bible study that helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ. We have found that this study helps kids, and adults, see how the whole Bible points to Jesus and the gospel.

Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel.

Nursery (6 weeks - 17 months)

Our Nursery is a welcoming and nurturing environment where you can trust that your little ones will be loved and cared for.

Toddlers (18 months - 2 years)

Our toddler classroom is a room full of laughter, singing, and scripture. It is here that little ones will begin exploring the Bible right alongside their friends.

Preschool (3-4 years)

Our Preschool class is an active and fun place with a bit more structure than our toddler classroom. We begin with circle time where we will explore God’s Word, and have activities related to the text. Many preschoolers learn best while moving so there are many hands-on activities and songs that follow circle time.

**All Elementary classes will begin in the Sanctuary and worship with their families before being dismissed to Sunday School. In Sunday School, we will continue on our journey through the Bible using the Gospel Project Curriculum. We will read God's Word, discover Christ connections, and pray as we strive for all kids to Know God and Grow Spiritually.

Younger Elementary (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)

This class is where kids begin to explore Truth as they come to know God and grow in deeper commitment to Him. Once in class, our younger elementary students will be engaged through drama and informative Biblical teaching that immerses kids in the gospel through every story, from Genesis to Revelation. Teachers will shepherd kids and reinforce the Christ connection focus for the week. In this room, kids will begin to develop special friendships with one another, with teachers, and – best of all – with God!

Older Elementary (3rd - 5th grade)

Crossview Kids has a place for pre-teens to call their own. This awesome group of kiddos start off in the sanctuary with their family and are dismissed to class after worship. Once in class the group gathers around one large table for their lesson and engaging discussion. This time is often followed by activities meant to gain understanding of the topic, make personal connections, and continually point to Jesus.

Your Kids are Safe at Crossview

Your kids' physical, spiritual, and emotional safety is very important to us! Every Crossview Kids Ministry team member goes through the following screening process and must meet these requirements to serve with Crossview Kids.

  • Fill out a Kids Ministry Application that asks for general information, beliefs, references, and background information. In the application we require personal/family references. We call every reference and ask about the applicant's character and their feelings about them working with children.

  • We use Protect My Ministry for the following background checks:

    • National Sex Offender Search

    • National Criminal Database Search

    • SSN Verification and Address History

  • No applicant is permitted to serve with children if they have ever been arrested or convicted for child abuse.

  • All team members are trained with the specifics of Crossview Church policies and Kids Ministry policies to ensure safety throughout all the classrooms. This includes, but is not limited to emergency procedures, classroom evacuations, medical procedures, health standards, reporting child abuse, and more.
